That’s How I Roll…
This morning, I received a message on Facebook from a family member wanting to know if a website was legitimate.
“hey what’s up? was just chatting with [another friend] and they asked me if you know about BINSSERVICESONLINE.INFO or not”
I went to work right away trying to dig up and information I could find on it, and came up with these three reasons not to believe anything this website says:
1.) The domain binsservicesonline.info redirects the visitors to biznews7.org. If it’s not bad enough that the first domain name doesn’t make any sense, the second one isn’t any better.
2.) Biznews7.org claims to be the website for The Oklahoma Financial Journal, sounds great, doesn’t exist. (Proof: http://www.google.com/search?q=The+Oklahoma+Financial+Journal) In fact, there is code in the biznews7.org website that generates the ‘newspaper’ name each time the page is loaded anyway, see below:
<div id="sitename">
The <script language="JavaScript">document.write(geoip_region_name());</script>
<span id="name1stRow">Financial</span><span id="name2ndRow">Journal</span>
</div>
This creates the output “The [insert region name here] Financial Journal”
3.) What news sites can you pull up right now that tell you three different times the exact steps to make money from home? None. Real news sites will write a teaser and then send you to the owner of that information. Otherwise, when someone doesn’t make the money, the news site gets blamed.
What’s funny about the whole incident is that I couldn’t reply to the message via Facebook. My account got suspended for attempting to submit those two domains back through Facebook and I had to verify my account and create a new password. Oh, and I did verify I was giving Facebook the information, and NOT any other sites.
Have you had any problems with fake ‘work-from-home’ scenarios lately, as well? Let us know about them, or ask our opinion on any new ones you come across, before you invest.
Happy surfing, Kenneth
